Richard H. Vura originally practiced law as an in-house labor and employment attorney. While attending law school in the evenings he worked in labor relations in the automotive industry by day. He has remained a sole practitioner since 1984, representing plaintiffs and defendants in employment discrimination and contracts; labor; real estate; probate; personal injury; commercial disputes; and insurance litigation.

Since 1990 Mr. Vura has mediated over 7,000 disputes concerning: personal injury; construction; product liability; real estate; residential and commercial hurricane insurance; medical and legal malpractice; probate; commercial and employment contracts; employment discipline and discrimination; mortgage foreclosure under the Collins Center and AAA programs; RV lemon-law mediations and arbitrations; arbitrated homeowner insurance cases as an "Umpire". Court appointed Special Master in complex condominium property damage litigation. Completed med/arb in extensive volume of mass-claims under John Hancock Class Action Settlement program, (FL and national panels). Arbitrated several cases as member of AAA commercial and employment panels. Hearing Examiner for Miami-Dade County Personnel Appeals. Conducted nursing home and assisted living facility assessments and resolved resident complaints – Broward County. Panel member re: Fannie Mae foreclosure mass-litigation.
